Response to immediate threat:
2. General Conversation. Alex Winkle - Schwartz Law Group and Vice Chair of the MPCC Economic Vitality Committee: Business Walk on October 1, 2021. Part of MPCC mission to promote and sustain growth in our community. There is a digital component and the focus will be on North Fremont in Monterey and Fremont in Seaside. Both cities will have staff participate. Included in the survey are legacy questions and some new Covid focused additions. 3. Healthcare. Montage Health: Covid numbers on decline-9 patients in house(down from high of 16). Triage tent still set up next to ER but has not been needed. October 1, entire staff must be vaccinated. Those who have not on extended leave of absence or have left. No one was fired. Montage received $5 million gift to recruit and retain doctors. Montage Medical Group launched ten years ago to recruit and find permanent salaried staff. Required to take patients regardless of insurance status. Program operates at loss and supported by Montage and the Foundation to provide and sustain high quality services for the community.

4. Financial, SBA, Loans & Grants. 2021 SICC Community Capital event is September 23. California Business Covid-19 relief Grant Program-Round 8-Non-profit and Cultural Institutions-Deadline 9/30. EIDL loan, low interest, fixed rate increased to 2 million, prior recipients can ask for increase and borrowers can use for non-federal debt for loan consolidation, deferred payment for 24 months.
5. Transportation. MST board of directors adopted a covid testing policy at its September 13th meeting. A covid vaccine is now a condition of employment. MST is continuing to work on the transit network re-design. A draft plan has been released and is available for public review.
