Monterey County COVID Collaborative Helps Find Testing Sites Easier
The Monterey County COVID Collaborative team has been compiling information for where people can go to get free (no insurance billing) or no-cost (will bill insurance, but no cost to the patient) clinics available from week-to-week in English and Spanish.

The list of these testing sites along with vaccination sites can be found at MontereyCountyVaccines.com. If the public needs help finding a testing or vaccination site, they are encouraged to call 211.

The Monterey County COVID Collaborative is a project of the Community Foundation for Monterey County and its list breaks down the sites into regions, and for Salinas listed by zip code.
Pick It Up-Pay It Forward Program 2022 Partners Announced
Through the initiative that began in late 2020, Coastal Roots Hospitality donates 10 percent of all proceeds from takeout orders from its three restaurants — Rio Grill in Carmel, and Tarpy’s and Montrio in Monterey.
 
In 2021, Pick It Up – Pay It Forward supported the following nonprofits and raised more than $150,000: Jews Christians Muslims United; Kinship Center; Wonderwood Ranch; Monterey County Rape Crisis Center; and Gathering for Women.
 
Pick It Up – Pay It Forward will continue in 2022, choosing the following nonprofits as charitable partners: Gateway Center of Monterey Inc. (January/February); Kinship Center (March/April); Monterey County Film Commission (May/June); Habitat Monterey Bay (July/August); Read To Me Project (September/October); and Community Partnership For Youth (November/December).
