  1. City of Monterey. Council meeting tonight-adopt maps for new districts (2nd reading). District -based voting. City will follow state and county guidelines for Covid-19 public health orders.  
  2. County of Monterey. Program for countywide business recovery is in progress
  3. Hospitality. ADR (Average Daily Rate) is up 29% over last year-Occupancy was up compared to the previous tow weeks but not up to the past levels for tournament. MCCVB will have a booth this weekend at Fisherman’s Wharf.
  4. Healthcare. 14 Covid- 19 patients in house, down from 32 a few weeks ago. Loosening restrictions on visitors. Throughout this surge-90% were not vaccinated. Attendee “asked what’s the outlook “ – There will be variants because this is a virus, and it will be an ongoing rolling phenomenon.  
  5. Financial. State of California has a “Dream Fund” coming out. Interest rates will be going up, so if you plan to refinance, now is the time.
  6. Transportation.
