There are many small business training opportunities currently available through the Cal Coastal SBDC: 

• COVID EIDL Repayment Webinars (English & Spanish): – With the COVID EIDL first payment date fast approaching, it is important that recipients of COVID EIDL know and understand the payment process. 
• Source Diverse, Source Local Webinar Series: This series of webinars encourages small businesses to expand their focus to include working with larger companies and government entities of all sizes in conjunction with the State of California’s Source Diverse Source Local Program. 
• CA Dream Fund Training and Grant Program Webinar: Thinking about starting a business? Consider the CA Dream Fund. Potential businesses will have to meet eligibility requirements, including applying for and completing training, completing a business plan, and getting the necessary licenses to start their business AFTER they begin training, but BEFORE they are eligible to apply for the grant. There is a waiting list to attend the training, so those interested need to register ASAP to get on the waiting list for consideration for the next cohort expected to start toward the end of October. The grant application period expires 12/31/22 and you must complete the 6-week training before you are allowed to apply for the grant.

Our Annual Leadership Luncheon gives community leaders, local business owners and engaged citizens an opportunity to gain further insight into the current business climate on the Monterey Peninsula.

California is experiencing an unprecedented heatwave on track to be both the hottest and longest on record in California for September. The potential for rolling outages is a very real scenario this week.

We need your help to reduce load from 4-10 pm everyday through Thursday (9/5 - 9/8). The more power we save, the less likely power outages are.

Local businesses and residents are asked to help reduce load between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. each day through Thursday.
