City of Monterey. Labor Day Weekend - record-breaking 98% occupancy rate in City of Monterey, with Average Daily Rate of $400 per night. Parking up 9% as compared to 2021. Relief from the heat was an attraction. Sports Center Survey is underway for the Sports Facilities assessment: Take the survey. This Friday - “Parking Day” on Alvarado Street - First since the mid-2000s, nine parking spaces will be converted to to exhibits to show what else can be done with parking spaces.
Education. Monterey Peninsula Unified School District Board of Trustees will receive a report at their meeting tonight regarding enrollment.
Monterey Herald. Advertising supplement opportunities in October: Women in Business and Pacific Grove feature. November will include a Monterey feature.
Financial, SBA, Loans & Grants. The Employee Retention Tax Credit (ERTC) is ongoing and Monterey County has the CA Microbusiness grant available. Building Business Back-program providing guidance for ERTC: . A reminder that anyone who received a COVID EIDL loan in 2019 will be hearing from SBA to begin paying back those loans. The 30 month payment deferral period is ending and payments start up 30 months from receipt of their loan – beginning in October for many businesses.
