SBA Deadline for Physical Damage Loans Has Closed — What Is Still Available?
Applicants who have a business or non-profit organization can apply for economic injury disaster loans that is still available. This is for the disaster from the storms that occurred on December 27th till January 31st. Disaster Loan Outreach Center in Monterey County is still available for applicants who are homeowners, renters, businesses, and non-profit organizations. The hours of operations are 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday at the same location, Monterey County Government Center, 1441 Schilling Place in Salinas. Applicants can receive one- one assistance with the application process from customer service representatives. People who have been denied on their application can ask for reconsideration on their disaster loans and ask about status. The deadline to apply for the Economic Injury Disaster Loans is until October 16th , 2023. The Economic Injury Disaster Loans are for businesses and non-profit organizations including places of worship that had suffered economic loss in the time of the disaster.
If homeowners, renters, businesses, and non-profit organizations including places of worship cannot make it to the Disaster Loan Outreach Center they may apply online until the deadline, receive additional disaster assistance information and download applications at https://disasterloanassistance.sba.gov/. Applicants may also call SBA’s Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955 or email disastercustomerservice@sba.gov for more information on SBA disaster assistance. Individuals who are deaf or hard-of-hearing may call 7-1-1.
