The mission of the Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce is to support member success and promote the regional economy.

Our friendly environment is ideal for accomplishing health & wellness goals, as well as expanding your social circle and filling up your calendar. We provide state-of-the-art fitness equipment to help you stay in shape, as well as group exercise classes and social events, including weekend drop-in tennis and our monthly wine tastings, and poker nights. For years CVAC has been known as "The Local's Resort", but we like to think of it as a family.

Nestled along the pristine Carmel River banks, Gardener Ranch weaves an elegant, rustic atmosphere idyllic for outdoor weddings. The pale wooden fixtures and magical tree canopy produce a simple fairy-tale getaway, while the dependable sunshine and low humidity ensures a day to remember. The landscape, boasting 24-acres of majestic oaks and grassy meadows, is at once exclusive and genuine—a welcome balance highlighting the sanctity and romance of marriage. Gardener Ranch is truly an enchanting slice of one of California’s most treasured country escapes and a perfect venue for romance and rejoicing.

CITY OFFERS NO-CHARGE PERMITS FOR LOCAL BUSINESSES TO EXPAND SERVICES OUTSIDE TO ENCOURAGE PATRONAGE

In another effort to help businesses severely impacted by the economic damage caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Monterey is proactively offering retail and restaurant businesses an opportunity to expand outdoors. Businesses can apply for a temporary encroachment permit that would allow them to move their products and services onto the sidewalk in front of their business location, without impacting street or parking stalls. The application along with a "to scale" drawing of the table/chairs layout is required to ensure American with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance.

The application is available at monterey.org/building on the "How to Apply for a Building Permit" page. Please also find the link here:

Fees may not be waived for businesses interested in constructing a wall or fencing.
