Monterey Bay Half Marathon — Road Closures & Traffic Information

The Monterey Bay Half Marathon returns this Sunday, November 10. The half marathon begins and ends in historic downtown Monterey, runs along Cannery Row and next to the Pacific Grove shoreline. Many of the downtown Monterey and Pacific Grove streets will be closed in the early morning on Saturday, November 9, and Sunday, November 10. The Cities of Monterey and Pacific Grove recognize that this may inconvenience some residents and businesses along the marathon path and thanks you in advance for your cooperation, patience and understanding.

One of the most striking impacts of the Monterey Bay Half Marathon is its ability to drive tourism and stimulate the local economy. As runners and their families converge upon the stunning shores of Monterey Bay, local businesses experience a surge in activity. Runners will experience the power of community and the unwavering spirit of the Monterey Bay region. This event exemplifies the connection between athleticism, local businesses, and charitable endeavors, making it a cornerstone event on our community’s calendar.
