Last month, Piccolo and Reflections Elegante Fine Art Gallery hosted a vibrant Mixer at Piccolo, located under Osteria al Mare on the Coastguard Pier. Guests explored the current curation of artwork while enjoying delicious panini and refreshments provided by Piccolo. The in-restaurant gallery paired with the gorgeous Monterey Bay background provided lively atmosphere for networking and connection.

This collaboration between Piccolo and Reflections Elegante Fine Art Gallery exemplifies their commitment to enriching Monterey's cultural scene. By integrating fine art into dining spaces, they offer patrons a multisensory experience that celebrates both culinary and artistic excellence.

Stop by Piccolo, Osteria al Mare or Reflections Fine Art's main gallery, located in the Portola Plaza, to view the diverse array of fine art, including both emerging and established artists.

Celebrating Our Ruth Vreeland Public Official of the Year Award Honoree: Mayor Mary Ann Carbone

Mary Ann Carbone was born in Monterey, California and grew up in Seaside with her parents and 12 siblings — Growing up she attended Seaside Elementary School, Fremont Jr. High and Cypress High School and pursued a continued education in the medical field, obtaining  a degree in pharmacy. After receiving her degree, she decided to enter a non-traditional job and joined the Laborers International Union of North America. She worked in the commercial construction trades with her brothers in the 1980s until her retirement in 2009.
