SPOTLIGHT: California Coastal Rural Development Corporation

California Coastal Rural Development Corporation (Cal Coastal) is a California chartered nonprofit public-benefit corporation servicing the financial needs of small businesses and farmers. The corporation provides direct loans and loan guarantees to businesses located on the Central Coast through our offices located in Salinas and Santa Maria. They have a community based Board of Directors that guides the organization. The Board of Directors and Loan Committee members are business people and bankers with backgrounds in credit. Cal Coastal funds these specialized lending facilities allowing their clients the ability to grow their businesses. Although they serve a wide variety of business sectors, their primary emphasis with all of their programs is to provide necessary capital to businesses and thereby create employment.

Operating eight loan programs, California Coastal Rural Development Corporation is dedicated to providing financing to small farmers and businesses throughout California who lack access to capital and technical assistance. Their mission is to assist these enterprises to grow, thrive and prosper enabling the overall economic development to our under served communities.
