2) Economic recovery when the threat diminishes.

Response to immediate threat
1. City of Monterey. Recap of current measures within the City. Indoor seating defined as the number of seats allowed inside a restaurant; outdoor encroachment is allowed until Labor Day 2022 and could be extended; Sports Center open and witness good participation; Fire Dep. is official vaccination clinic; homeless population received 120 vaccination doses in Monterey and 180 at Fort Ord; cannabis roadmap will be update at the City Council of 4/20.
2. Hospitality & Tourism. MCHA to send letter to State asking for all hospitality workers to be authorized for vaccination in one group; funding with MCCVB of a commercial/PSA to promote testing.
3. Retail. Strong activity during weekends; indoor dining needs to go to 50%; more testing will help us to reach that tier.
4. State of California. Sacramento Report. Monterey County’ share of the stimulus money: $84M; contact State legislators on how to spend it best.
5. Health Care. News improved: only 8 COVID patients at CHOMP, none critically ill; vaccinations and wisdom in re-opening are the main reasons; family visitation policy has been relaxed.
6. Community Foundation for Monterey County. Collaborative efforts still moving positively; more updates during the next session.
7. Financial, SBA, Loans & Grants. CA Relief Grant for non-profits ends Friday 3/26; all businesses can apply on 3/25 for Round 4; PPP applications ends on 3/31 unless Congress extends that deadline; shuttered operator grant will have April 8 as last day to apply. Check: www.sba.gov
8. Human Services. See below for webinar on CFRA tomorrow Wednesday 3/24.
